Toyota launched the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show and this event also served as the SUV’s formal debut in the North American market. In addition to this, the launch of the latest edition of this model also marks the vehicle’s presence in the US automobile market. Toyota has been selling this vehicle in the US for almost 50 years and all throughout these years most of the American buyers are still fascinated with this SUV.
During the vehicle’s launch, Toyota has also confirmed that the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser will arrive at the company’s car dealerships in the US on the last week of February. This simply means that the actual delivery of the vehicles from the company’s facilities will start earlier and this would be conducted to ensure that the dealerships will be able to start selling the SUV on the date specified.
Aside from that, Toyota has also stressed that the company will not offer any optional feature on the latest version of the Land Cruiser. This simply means that most of the optional features that are available on the previous model are currently offered as standard.
In order to improve the vehicle’s appearance, Toyota has subjected the previous model to a minor facelift. The company has decided to conduct a few revisions instead of overhauling the previous version of the vehicle since Toyota wants to preserve the significant features of the vehicle since these are among the top reasons why the model became popular. Due to this decision, the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser’s external and internal appearance is almost similar to its predecessor.
Toyota has revised the Land Cruiser’s exterior design by adding a few accessories on this and leaving the other aspects of the SUV the way they were before. Aside from the minor revisions, the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser has also obtained a new pair of headlamps, mirrors and moldings, and a freshened grille. The Land Cruiser’s cabin has also received a few updates to retain some of the characteristics found on its predecessor. In addition to this, the latest version of the SUV is now equipped with the heated steering wheel, dynamic radar cruise control, and the ventilated seats in front.
The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser also retained its 5.7-liter V-8 engine which is capable of producing up to 381 horsepower and 401 lb.-ft. of torque. This is still mated to 6-speed automatic transmission and will also available with front-wheel and all-wheel drive systems.
